We’re filming real objects, and painting on them at the same time. This is how the cartoons from our childhood were made except that they were painted on paper, not walls.

I thought this cartoon would inspire my students to try to draw a cartoon because it looks (deceptively) easy to draw. I want to discuss this one in class as an example of how to create the illusion of distance in a two dimensional drawing.
